Company Profile

A history of Innovation

Post Haste origins began back in 1977 when Armourguard Security Couriers (the original Freightways courier company) became Courier Systems Limited. We were established to be serious competition to the then independently owned Couriers. A national network based on the existing Freightways road transport system was set up. It was not long before Courier Systems Limited was seen as a force to be reckoned with in the New Zealand market.

In 1988 Courier Systems Ltd changed its name to Post Haste.
Since its inception, Post Haste have established a strong and dynamic presence within the express parcel industry, developing a highly efficient distribution network locally, nationally and internationally. Our key focus over the years has been to develop long-term business relationships with both small and large customers.

The Brand

Time for change

Our image highlights our New Zealand origins and the pride that is associated with being a local courier company with great national coverage.

In 2005 we made the decision to re-evaluate the brand in an effort to not only refresh the image but to refresh our business attitude by investment in our people, operations and the technology that supports both.

It is important that our brand reflects the major factors that influence our business and the pathway that has been created to achieve our goals.

The fern and the colour scheme are synonymous with New Zealand and as a quintessentially New Zealand owned and operated business this was paramount in selecting the new design. In keeping with our past the colour scheme is also a reflection of the original colours used when we were formally known as Courier Systems Ltd dating back to 1977. The stylised fern is designed with a tyre tread pattern in mind representing the 20 plus million kilometers our vehicles travel each year to over 300 towns and cities nationwide.

How we do it

Continuous development and refinement of New Zealand's most extensive nation-wide network means that we deliver to 99% of populated New Zealand - that's over 300 towns and cities nationwide and more than 20 million kilometres travelled per year.

With over 240 couriers and 20 branches servicing 360 towns and cities nationwide we deliver almost everywhere, every working day of the year. We also have access to an additional network of 790 couriers through our sister companies Castle Parcels, NOW Couriers and Sub60.

A dedicated fleet of 55 line-haul vehicles and 5 cargo aircraft means that we can attain our service standard of regional same day deliveries and overnight by noon to main business centres.

We have 87 Customer Services staff nationwide dedicated to providing you with fantastic back up service.

Our Technology

Having technology that is current and up to date is a priority for us. Following are a few examples of the technology options we offer our customers:

  • Autobook: where you can book a courier pick up over the phone
  • Electronic Ticketing: where you are able to produce your own courier tickets if your company meets the required criteria
  • Imaging: where you are able to request an electronic copy of the proof of delivery
  • Website: where you can track your items, order product and book a courier pick up

Considerable investment has been made to allow for significant developments within the technology arena, to futureproof our business and provide our customers with the highest quality output. Stay posted for more information.
